About Weiss Elektrotechnik

Weiss Elektrotechnik GmbH has been developing and manufacturing customer- and application-specific wound components since 1979, specialising in small and medium production volumes. The portfolio includes single- and multi-phase mains transformers with power ratings up to 15 kVA, DC power supplies up to 500 W, and inductors for low- and high-frequency applications such as coils, chokes, transformers, transducers and high-frequency components – from the coreless air coil to the vacuum-encapsulated high-voltage transformer. The offering is complemented by an in-house plastics injection moulding facility with shot weights up to 250 g, its own toolmaking operation, and encapsulation systems for vacuum and atmospheric-pressure potting with epoxy and polyurethane resins. In addition, the company offers module assembly, final assembly of subassemblies, development and prototype construction, as well as support with certifications (VDE, TÜV, UL). ATEX-approved transformers of the KLF-Ex series provide galvanic isolation for intrinsically safe circuits in hazardous areas. Production takes place at the headquarters in Johanniskirchen as well as at sites in Austria and Poland.
