WESSO AG is a manufacturer of ecological cleaning, care and disinfection products for air, water and surface hygiene. The company was founded in 1987 as Wessoclean Wasserhygiene GmbH in Hersbruck and has been based in Altdorf bei Nürnberg since 2018, where its production facility is also located. The focus is on products for the regeneration of water-bearing systems such as wells and piping systems, for pipe and drainage cleaning, water treatment and limescale prevention. Based on natural, fully biodegradable ingredients such as food-grade citric acid, the products dissolve mineral deposits from iron and manganese oxides as well as limescale and remove biofilms and odors. In addition, the portfolio includes disinfectants for the veterinary and agricultural sector, including surface disinfection and hatching egg disinfection. The products are used in private households, municipalities, social institutions, agriculture, the food industry and industrial processes; a private-label offering complements the range.
