About WI-PHOS
WI-PHOS GmbH, based in Großkarolinenfeld (Bavaria), develops and supplies the chemistry for the WI-PHOS process of the same name, used as pretreatment before powder coating. The process passivates steel and iron in a single working step and in one bath, thereby saving space, energy, time and costs compared with multi-stage pretreatment processes. The scope of services includes quotations and designs for powder coating systems as well as new developments; a WI-PHOS system comprises the PP tank construction, pumps and special filtration technology, a nozzle and circulation system, ion exchangers, heating and a control system for monitoring. System manufacturing and assembly are handled by the sister company of the Brummer group, MBM Brummer Stahl- & Metallbau GmbH; the powder coating operation mawi GmbH uses the systems developed by WI-PHOS. Customers come from surface technology, powder coating, and steel and metal construction.
