Wiedenmann Kieswerk GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized family company based in Leutkirch im Allgäu. It began in 1930 with the founding of a bus and haulage company in Aichstetten; from this, a raw materials and services company for the construction industry of the Allgäu/Upper Swabia region and the Lake Constance area developed. At the extraction sites, washed gravel materials, grits, premium crushed sands and concrete aggregates are produced. The delivery and product range includes various grades of crushed stone, gravel, grit, sand and soils for construction companies, concrete plants, gardening companies, landscape gardeners, farmers and private customers – in small and large quantities. In addition, earthworks such as excavation pit digging are carried out, and excavated soil is accepted against a certificate of harmlessness. Former extraction areas are renaturalised or recultivated in coordination with the authorities. The locations include the administration in Leutkirch as well as the gravel plants Haid, Mennisweiler (Ravensburg/Bad Wurzach area) and Buch (Bad Waldsee area).
