About Windrad Engineering GmbH

Windrad Engineering GmbH is an independent engineering office based in Rostock that has been offering consulting and calculation services to manufacturers of wind turbines, planning companies and the general mechanical engineering sector since 2002. The range of services covers aeroelastic simulations and load calculations, finite element calculations, controller optimisation, complete developments of wind turbines from small wind turbines to multi-megawatt offshore projects, as well as component design, detailing and certifiable documentation. For general mechanical engineering, load-appropriate designs, machine dynamics analyses and drawing derivations are provided. With the in-house software SiWEC, which also calculates floating offshore turbines taking wave interaction into account, the company has its own simulation tools. The company is part of the GICON® Group, an association of independent engineering and consulting companies with more than 400 employees. Since 2008, it has maintained its own quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001 with recurring internal and external audits.
