Xapt GmbH is a provider specialized in optical sensors and measuring systems for industrial image processing, headquartered in Gelsenkirchen with an additional site in Heiligenhaus. The company manufactures and supplies metrology equipment for the quality control of strip and flat materials, especially for Metal Service Centers: systems for measuring thickness, width, strip width, flatness, levelness and sheet geometry as well as for detecting holes, pinholes and edge cracks. The portfolio also includes surface inspection systems, force and strip tension measuring systems, 3D sensors and custom-built systems on customer request. The systems are designed precisely for the respective application, for example for use in longitudinal and cross cut-to-length lines, pickling lines, wrapping lines and inspection lines. With a team of 10 to 19 employees, Xapt GmbH serves customers worldwide and accompanies the systems throughout their entire life cycle (Life Cycle Partnership), including support.

The systems deliver continuous measurement results along the entire coil length, for example with a typical strip width accuracy of ± 0.05 mm (2 σ). Optionally, a DAkkS-certified calibration standard is available.
